First revealed during Wintercon VIII in 1979 as a tournament module, The Ghost Tower of Inverness was written as a tournament module for conventions. The challenge had a good blend of puzzles and combat, but the module leaned a bit more on strategy and critical thinking than brute combat.
I believed that Legends of Grimrock has the necessary assets to create quite a number of the dungeon crawlers that were originally AD&D modules during the 70s and 80s.
